My heart breaks into a million pieces for the current events happening on our planet. I know that I am privileged because of the colour of my skin & have never experienced what so many have had to live with for far too long. .
ITS NOT FAIR they have had to deal with so much Fear , judgment , murder , harm and more for this long & live daily dealing the with the opposite of fair. .
The injustices that have been going on for SO LONG and are still happening to this day, not just in America but around the world, including my home of Australia. .
What is happening is nothing new , this has been going on for FAR too long & NEEDS to stop.
Race , colour , gender , culture , sexuality , spirituality beliefs - WE SHOULD ALL BE EQUAL and no one , no matter who we are as humans, no one should ever have to live in fear the way so many people do every single day. .
I know I won’t ever fully understand - because I've never had to experience what our beautiful black culture have been exposed to and had to go through, but I do promise to step up , stand up, speak louder , educate myself more and educate Taj. I also know that staying silence is a big part of the problem. So more than ever NOW is the time for all of us to come together. .
I have a platform & I want to use it to show that #BlackLivesMatter 🖤 It requires a universal effort. We all need to spread awareness, educate, donate and do whatever we can. This needs to continue as a movement not a moment. .
A few extra things we can do to help: donations, signing petitions and sharing factual information & educating ourselves about the issues. .
